US renewable diesel manufacturing hits all-time monthly high in June

Clean Fuels Alliance America announced on social media in July that new data from the U.S. EPA confirms America’s clean-fuels industry is delivering.

“June marked a record month for domestic biomass-based diesel production at 494 million gallons,” Clean Fuels stated.

This included the highest-ever monthly production of renewable diesel at 327 million gallons.

In addition, the June figures showed the strongest biodiesel production since December 2024, with the industry running at 86 percent capacity.

The increased production comes after EPA issued historic 2026-’27 renewable volume obligations (RVOs) for biobased diesel in late March under the federal Renewable Fuel Standard.

“Thank you to EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin and USDA Secretary Brooke Rollins for these historic RFS volumes that are driving real production, strengthening domestic energy security and creating new economic opportunities across rural America,” Clean Fuels stated.

On the industry’s record production to meet the historic RVOs, Clean Fuels CEO Donnell Rehagen added, “We knew it could be done, we said it could be done, and it’s been done.”

Rehagen said he is proud of the feedstock growers, feedstock processors and fuel producers that made this happen.
