Transdev, the North of England bus operator, has renewed its contract with renewable fuel supplier Argent Energy to continue using low-carbon fuel, Dieselite® across its nine operating centers in Yorkshire, Lancashire and Greater Manchester.
Argent Energy has supported Transdev since 2023, when the operator transitioned its entire diesel fleet to low-carbon fuel as part of its broader decarbonization strategy.
Under the renewed agreement, Argent Energy will continue supplying Dieselite and managing daily fuel operations across Transdev’s network, ensuring reliable refueling, efficient depot logistics and timely deliveries.
Transdev has moved beyond the U.K. standard B7 diesel (up to 7 percent biodiesel) to adopt Dieselite B10-B30, containing 10 percent to 30 percent sustainable, second-generation biodiesel.
This transition has replaced up to 30 percent of fossil diesel across its 500-bus fleet.
“Argent Energy has supplied Transdev with Dieselite since 2023, and we are pleased to have renewed our contract now in 2026,” said Henri Rohard, the managing director at Transdev. “This revolutionary partnership has enabled us to achieve incredible environmental benefits on a commercially viable basis, delivering on our commitment to low-carbon-emission bus transportation across the North of England. Transdev look forward to continuing to work with Argent Energy.”
Mike Copson, the group head of fuel sales at Argent Energy, added, “Transdev is doing a great job of decarbonizing and it’s a privilege to support them by supplying them with our Dieselite fuel. Transdev needs a fuel partner who is dependable, professional and keeps their buses running reliably. Argent is proud to continue doing that with our sustainable and renewable alternative to straight diesel that saves carbon emissions and delivers a more sustainable public transport across the region.”
