McCracken joins Synergy Commodity as senior advisor

Synergy Commodity has announced the hiring of Steve McCracken as senior advisor.

McCracken has more than 15 years’ experience in the fuel industry, from retail to wholesale supply in distillates, propane and biofuels.

“Steve wakes up every morning thinking about how he can make a difference for clients, and that’s what Synergy is all about,” said Synergy CEO Lora Claus. “We are delighted to have Steve on the team. Prior to joining Synergy, McCracken served as sales manager for Sprague Energy, establishing and growing their presence in the Pennsylvania market.

From 2007 to 2018, McCracken served in Worley & Obetz’s family of companies.

Starting as a retail and commercial sales and marketing manager, he established a Bioheat® fuel marketing model that would be significantly expanded once McCracken was promoted to Amerigreen, the Obetz’s wholesale marketing arm.

Alongside the emerging biodiesel industry, McCracken guided Amerigreen to become a one-stop shop for family fuel companies seeking distillates, propane, biodiesel supply and marketing services.

McCracken led Amerigreen to become a business and supply partner for fuel companies throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.

McCracken said he is excited to join the Synergy Commodity team.

McCracken and his wife have two daughters and reside near Hershey, Pennsylvania.
