Darling promotes Dudley, who was key to growth of DGD’s renewable diesel production

Darling Ingredients Inc. has promoted Sandy Dudley from senior vice president of renewables and strategy to executive vice president of renewables and U.S. specialty operations. Dudley will continue to oversee Darling’s renewable-fuel strategy and will lead the company’s U.S. specialty products, which include production of nutrients for wet pet food, organic fertilizers, bakery feeds, and refining operations.

In her previous role, Dudley led the collaboration for Diamond Green Diesel’s rapid growth in renewable diesel production, and she will be instrumental in growing Darling’s restaurant-services business, which plays an important role in the vertical integration of the rendering company into its Diamond Green Diesel joint venture with Valero Energy Corp.

“Sandy’s extensive knowledge of the renewable fuels industry and low-carbon feedstock supply gives her a unique and valuable perspective that has advanced Darling as a leader in sustainable ingredients,” said Randall C. Stuewe, Darling chairman and CEO. “Her contributions have benefited Darling’s business around the world, and we look forward to her business acumen continuing to drive results in this new leadership position.”

Before joining Darling in 2015, Dudley worked for both ConAgra Foods and Tenaska Marketing Ventures.
