CPM’s Crown announced in April that it has finalized an agreement with Coopertradição to provide processing equipment and technology for its new soy-crushing plant in Pato Branco, Brazil.

The plant will begin operating in the first quarter of 2026.

Crown will provide all of the key technology and processing equipment for a 3,000-ton-per-day soybean-crush plant.

The facility will include features such as a warm dehulling preparation system, extraction, enzymatic degumming and a zero-effluent discharge (ZED) system.

A key piece of equipment Crown is installing is its new Flex Control Tray™ Oil Stripper, a device Crown developed at its Global Innovation Center.

The FCT Oil Stripper provides operational flexibility, increased uptime and very-low residual solvent in the crude soybean oil.

The entire plant is designed to be zero effluent and comply with environmental requirements.

These innovations and design approaches, coupled with low electricity and steam consumption, are major market differentiators for Coopertradição.

“Coopertradição chose to work with Crown because we offer the lowest operating costs, most robust equipment, dedicated in-country service, and because of our extensive experience and reputation for world-class engineering,” Crown stated. “We are grateful to have this opportunity to work with Coopertradição and help them accomplish their production and sustainability goals.”
