BDI-BioEnergy International GmbH announced May 15 that Manfred Baumgartner has been appointed second CEO effective immediately.

For 27 years, BDI-BioEnergy International GmbH has been a market and technology leader in the planning and construction of customized biodiesel plants.

The company has increasingly established itself as a global solutions provider in the field of upcycling plastics waste to valuable materials.

Baumgartner, who has worked at BDI since 1996, has long-term experience, comprehensive technical knowledge and has vast international connections.

BDI stated that, thanks to his curious nature, Baumgartner will manage the company together with Kurt Ternegg and accelerate technological and economic progress.

“We are delighted to welcome Manfred Baumgartner as CEO of BDI,” stated Helmut Gößler and Wilhelm Hammer, the founders and principal owners of the BDI Group.

“I am thankful for the company founders’ trust and am looking forward to helping shape the success story of BDI-BioEnergy International, now in my responsibility as CEO, together with Kurt Ternegg and the entire team,” Baumgartner said.

Ternegg added, “With Manfred Baumgartner, who will assume the technical lead at BDI-BioEnergy International as new CEO, we are optimally positioned to further extend the growth and advantage in innovation as well as technology of our internationally active company in all areas of renewable energies.”

BDI is a market leader in the construction of biodiesel plants.

The patented BDI Multi-Feedstock technology as well as its resource-efficient and environmentally compatible RepCat system enable maximum flexibility regarding waste and residual materials.

These BDI innovations guarantee highly efficient and economical production.

Furthermore, BDI offers environmentally friendly process-engineering solutions for the upcycling of plastics waste and in-house developed fermentation technologies regarding biogas plants.

By doing so, the company makes a significant contribution to minimize the ecological footprint of every single customer.

The service portfolio ranges from contract research and process development to engineering and scale-up performances to customer service.

BDI-BioEnergy International GmbH currently has about 100 employees.
