The United States Energy Association announced Feb. 2 a partnership with America250 to commemorate America’s 250th anniversary.
America250 is the national, nonpartisan organization charged by Congress to lead the commemoration of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
“The United States Energy Association is honored to partner with America250 to commemorate America’s Semiquincentennial,” said USEA President and CEO Mark Menezes, noting that USEA recently celebrated its 100th anniversary.
“We look forward to creating programs centered around this milestone and showing the advancement of American energy at home and abroad,” he added. “The world’s democracies are secure today because of America’s energy production and technology deployment. And that’s something we should all celebrate.”
Jen Condon, the executive vice president at America250, said, “America’s energy story is inseparable from America’s story. From powering our independence to driving innovation today, American energy has strengthened our nation, and we’re proud to partner with the United States Energy Association as we commemorate America’s 250th anniversary.”
America250’s mission is to celebrate and commemorate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, marking America’s Semiquincentennial.
The organization aims to inspire Americans to reflect on the country’s past, strengthen the love of country and renew the commitment to the ideals of democracy through programs that educate, engage and unite us as a nation.
America250 will foster shared experiences that spark imagination, showcase the rich tapestry of American stories, inspire service in our communities, honor the enduring strength and celebrate the resilience of the United States of America.
