Singapore fuel distributor gains ISCC certification for its biodiesel products

Through its subsidiary PS Energy Pte Ltd., PS Energy Group has acquired the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification for its biodiesel products, the company announced Jan. 3.

PS Energy Group is a fuel and lubricant distributor in Singapore and elsewhere in Southeast Asia.

The company’s biodiesel offerings are used in both land and marine applications.

The ISCC is a globally recognized sustainability certification system that aims to implement environmentally, socially and economically sustainable production and use of all kinds of biomass in global supply chains.

An ISCC certification helps customers correctly identify sustainably sourced from the unsustainably sourced biofuel offerings.

“With this recognition, customers of PS Energy are assured of the transparency, traceability and sustainability qualifications of the biofuel components in the company’s biodiesel offerings,” said Patrick Ng, the company’s executive director. “Our biodiesel products only use sustainably sourced used cooking oil methyl ester (UCOME).”

Sean Chua, the group’s managing director, added, “This certification shows our strong commitment to supporting the Singapore government’s goals towards circular economy. With our biodiesel products, we aim to provide our customers options as well as assurance that they are getting the right product to achieve their goals of reducing their carbon footprint.”
