Missouri Soybeans invited the community to the Center for Soy Innovation for a festive holiday event, “Santa at Soy,” in December to raise donations for the Central Missouri Food Bank.

During the inaugural event, Missouri Soybeans raised more than 750 nonperishable goods by encouraging attendees to make donations to meet Santa.

“Our organization finds deep value in serving others, including those in need,” said Gary Wheeler, Missouri Soybeans CEO and executive director. “To give back to our community during this holiday season, we opened our Center for Soy Innovation in an effort to support the greater Jefferson City area and encourage consumers to visit our office to learn more about our state’s versatile crop.”

The event featured activities for attendees of all ages.

One of the highlights included capturing the season’s magic by taking pictures with Santa Claus.

Nearly 200 families and friends created lasting memories as they posed for pictures with Santa and enjoyed homemade chocolate chip soy cookies.

In addition to the Santa photo sessions, visitors toured the Center for Soy Innovation.

The tour provided a unique opportunity to explore the innovative world of soy and learn about its diverse applications and benefits.

“Santa at Soy was a wonderful opportunity for the community to celebrate the holiday while discovering the center,” said Baylee Asbury, director of outreach and education at Missouri Soybeans. “We were thrilled to see so many families come to the Center for Soy Innovation and learn about the power of soy.”

The Center for Soy Innovation is dedicated to advancing the understanding and utilization of soy in various industries.

The center aims to contribute to sustainable solutions and economic development by fostering innovation and collaboration.
