The 19th annual Iowa Renewable Fuels Summit, the Midwest’s largest biofuels policy conference, will be held Feb. 5, 2026, at the Prairie Meadows Event Center in Altoona, Iowa. It is free to attend and open to the public with registration.
Every year, the summit draws attendees from over a dozen states that represent every sector of renewable fuels, including biofuel producers and supporters, farmers, policy experts, elected officials and media.
As global energy demands rise, renewable fuels offer a practical, scalable answer. Biofuels such as ethanol and biodiesel remain a leading solution for boosting commodity demand and reducing carbon emissions, making the summit more relevant than ever.
From emerging markets to national policy, we’ll tackle the big issues and explore the future role of these fuels in shaping U.S. energy independence. Participants will hear from industry leaders who will discuss a range of topics, including:
Unlocking demand in new markets such as marine, aviation and heavy-duty equipment.
How leadership lessons honed during adversity can be applied to today’s renewable fuels landscape.
What’s next for national policy surrounding the clean fuel production credit (section 45Z), the federal Renewable Fuel Standard, small-refinery exemptions (SREs), and year-round E15.
How renewable fuels can accelerate progress towards low-carbon goals from the perspective of a major auto executive.
In addition to the exclusive speaker program, the summit is the second-largest biofuels trade show uniquely situated in the heart of the Midwest. Attendees will gain access to cutting-edge technologies and numerous networking opportunities.
The Iowa Renewable Fuels Summit isn’t a conference—it’s driving change.
