NBB unveils new 'Biodiesel Sustainability Now' website
Updated: Nov 15, 2020
The National Biodiesel Board has unveiled its new Biodiesel Sustainability Now website. According to the organization, the mission of its new website is to convey that biodiesel and renewable diesel are sustainable solutions available today to combat climate change.
"Our environment needs sustainable solutions," reads the Biodiesel Sustainability Now mission statement on its homepage. "We believe biodiesel and renewable diesel are a leading solution in combatting the challenge of climate change. Biodiesel is better, cleaner, and available now, reducing greenhouse gases by up to 86 percent. This sustainable fuel source is produced from a diverse mix of feedstocks including recycled cooking oil, soybean oil, and animal fats. This is not a future fuel; this is a today solution. Biodiesel sustainability is here now."
The new site features sections such as "Sustainability Stories," where readers can get inspired by biodiesel and renewable diesel in action; "The Basics," which includes fundamental information about biodiesel and renewable diesel, explanations of terms and acronyms, and fact sheets; an area specifically for student scientists; and a "From the Experts" section, which features opinion, commentary and writings from people such as Matt Herman, the director of environmental science at NBB; and me, editor of Biobased Diesel Daily, among others.
