The Hong Kong Business Aviation Centre announced that it has begun offering sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) at its facility, effective May 1.
The move represents a significant step forward in HKBAC’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship in the aviation industry, HKBAC stated.
“This initiative marks a pivotal milestone in our mission to support a cleaner future while continuing to provide the exceptional service and operational excellence that our clients have come to expect,” HKBAC stated.
SAF is an ecofriendly alternative to conventional jet fuel made from renewable materials like used cooking oils.
It offers a practical solution to lower the carbon footprint without compromising performance.
Now, HKBAC customers have the option to fuel their trips with blended SAF, contributing to a more sustainable future.
As a leader in fixed-base operator (FBO) services across Asia and beyond, HKBAC said it is setting a new standard by integrating SAF into its operations.
According to HKBAC, this initiative not only reinforces its commitment to sustainability but also ensures that its customers continue to enjoy the seamless quality of service they expect.
“We are thrilled to bring sustainable aviation fuel to HKBAC, marking a pivotal moment in our journey toward greener aviation,” said HKBAC CEO Vivien Lau.
“This launch reflects our leadership in driving innovation and sustainability, while supporting our partners and clients in achieving the environmental goals,” Lau added.
“Together, we are shaping a more responsible and forward-thinking business-aviation sector,” she said.
The introduction of SAF at HKBAC aligns with international efforts to decarbonize aviation and, according to HKBAC, reinforces Hong Kong’s role as an environmentally conscious aviation hub.
