Former Volkswagen president, CEO to discuss vehicle technologies at Iowa Renewable Fuels Summit

The Iowa Renewable Fuels Summit will feature a keynote session from former Volkswagen North America President and CEO Pablo Di Si.
Di Si will discuss his outlook for vehicle technologies and the role biofuels can play in the future of consumer vehicles.
“Pablo’s experience and insights will be a valued perspective at the summit,” said IRFA Marketing Director Lisa Coffelt. “As former president and CEO of Volkswagen North America, Pablo has seen everything from automakers emphasizing electric vehicles (EVs) in the United States to employing high levels of biofuel blends in Brazil. His outlook on emerging vehicle technologies and the role biofuels can play in the future of consumer transportation will be insightful for all attendees.”
The 2026 Iowa Renewable Fuels Summit is taking place Feb. 5 and will be at the Prairie Meadows Event Center.
The summit is free and open to the public, but registration is required.

Di Si is an accomplished global business leader with extensive experience in the automotive, commercial vehicles, agricultural and consumer industries.
He served as president and CEO of Volkswagen North America (2022-’24) and Volkswagen Latin America (2017-’22), driving major turnarounds and transformational growth initiatives.
Previously, he held senior roles at Fiat Chrysler, Monsanto, Kimberly-Clark and Abbott Laboratories.
Di Si has deep expertise in strategy, operations, mergers and acquisitions, and government relations, having negotiated with heads of state and senior officials across the U.S., Europe and Latin America.
He currently serves as an independent board member at Lindsay Corp., Copersucar and JHSF, and he is a trustee at Loyola University Chicago.
Recognized among Bloomberg Línea’s 500 most influential people in Latin America, Di Si is a frequent keynote speaker and advocate for innovation and sustainability.
