The Clean Fuels Alliance Foundation announced July 7 the election of Chelsey Robinson to its board of directors.
Robinson works for Bayer Crop Science as the director of stakeholder affairs, bioeconomy and sustainable ag systems, leading stakeholder engagement and policy strategy to advance agricultural systems that support low-carbon fuels.
Her work focuses on U.S. federal and state biofuel policy and the lifecycle carbon-accounting frameworks that support the growth of biomass-based diesel and other renewable fuels.
With nearly 20 years of experience across the food, agriculture and biobased products sectors, Robinson has held roles in research and development, communications and public affairs at Bayer, Monsanto and Nestlé.
She brings a multidisciplinary approach to policy development, translating complex scientific and agronomic concepts—such as lifecycle analysis, feedstock qualification and farm-level sustainability impacts—into practical strategies that help accelerate the clean-fuels industry.
The foundation’s current board members are:
Chair Mark Caspers, soybean farmer/Nebraska Soybean Board representative.
Vice-Chair Dave Walton, soybean farmer/American Soybean Association representative.
Treasurer Chris Hill, soybean farmer/Minnesota Soybean Association representative.
Secretary Colin Huwyler, Optimus Technologies.
Director Michael Dolch, Ag Processing Inc.
Director Chelsey Robinson, Bayer Crop Science.
Director Keith Tapp, soybean farmer/Kentucky Soybean Promotion Board representative.
“Chelsey brings a unique combination of scientific expertise, policy knowledge and stakeholder engagement that will be an incredible asset to the foundation,” said Executive Director Tom Verry. “As the industry continues to grow, her experience connecting agriculture, sustainability and clean fuels will help strengthen our efforts to advance research, education and collaboration across the value chain. We are excited to welcome her to the board.”
