Biofuels Partners announced on social media Oct. 23 that it has signed a collaboration agreement with Jianglan Bio-Energy to explore international cooperation across used cooking oil (UCO), renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), with a shared focus on transparent sourcing, sustainability and reliable commercial partnerships.

Jianglan brings established experience in UCO collection and an integrated approach spanning feedstock sourcing, pretreatment and renewable fuel production.

Jianglan’s industrial development encompasses a UCO pretreatment facility with a capacity of 300,000 tons per year (tpy) and a 300,000 tpy renewable diesel and SAF plant incorporating European Desmet pretreatment and Topsoe HydroFlex® technologies.

Together, Biofuels Partners and Jianglan Bio-Energy will explore opportunities across the value chain, including UCO, renewable diesel and SAF supply and partnerships in renewable fuels.

Biofuels Partners said it contributes expertise in feedstock sourcing, strategic advisory, sustainability-certification support and commercial development.

“For Biofuels Partners, credible cooperation starts with documented feedstock origin, robust chain-of-custody controls and independently verified sustainability credentials,” the company stated. “These principles will guide our work together, alongside the requirements of each destination market.”

Biofuels Partners added that the Global SAF Market & Sustainability Certification Summit in Zhoushan, China, this month provided a valuable opportunity to meet the Jianglan team and discuss how to put these priorities into practice, including a visit to Jianglan’s new renewable diesel and SAF plant.

Biofuels Partners noted that China is also advancing its domestic renewable diesel and SAF sustainability certification and traceability framework, with initiatives extending from feedstock collection through fuel production and use.

“This development reinforces the importance of accountability throughout the value chain,” Biofuels Partners stated. “As the renewable fuels sector grows, lasting partnerships depend on transparency, verifiable sustainability and trust.”
