AFS, Innospec to host free webinar June 27 on performance, benefits of low-carbon liquid fuels

Advanced Fuel Solutions and Innospec are hosting a free webinar June 27 titled “An Inside Look at Performance and Benefits of Low Carbon Liquid Fuels.”

Low-carbon fuels are becoming more abundant in response to a variety of greenhouse-gas reduction programs at the federal, state and local levels.

These changes will lead to an increase in the amount of biodiesel and renewable diesel found in both on-road fuels and home-heating oil.

The June 27 webinar is designed to help those in the fuel-supply chain better understand the properties of biodiesel and renewable diesel compared to conventional, ultra-low sulfur diesel (ULSD).

The session will focus in part on how biobased diesel fuels such as renewable diesel and biodiesel behave with ULSD and ultra-low sulfur heating oil (ULSHO) for cold-flow management.

In many cases, the fuel additives that are currently used in conventional ULSD can also be used in biodiesel or renewable diesel to meet specifications or enhance performance.

“Our event will provide the information you need to successfully buy, blend, handle and use low-carbon fuels,” said AFS President Paul Nazzaro.

“If you buy, sell or consume liquid fuels, you need to attend this event,” Nazzaro added. “Knowledge of the changing fuel slate is imperative for optimum performance of each fuel.”

Webinar presenters include Nazzaro and Suzanne Golisz, the technical director of cold-flow improvers for Innospec Fuel Specialties.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Central time June 27.
