Aemetis signs offtake with Delta for 250 million blended-SAF gallons over 10 years

Aemetis Inc. announced Sept. 30 an offtake agreement signed by Delta Air Lines for 250 million blended gallons of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) to be delivered over a 10-year period.


The SAF is expected to be produced by Aemetis’ plant, being scaled to produce 90 million gallons per year using Axens process technology, under development in Riverbank, California.

The aggregate value of the agreement, according to Aemetis, is estimated to be more than $1 billion, including various state and federal incentives.


Aemetis’ plant is anticipated to begin SAF production in 2024.
