World Energy receives Sustainability Leadership Award

Biodiesel, renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel producer World Energy is among a select group of organizations that has won Business Intelligence Group’s 2021 Sustainability Leadership Award.

According to Business Intelligence Group, which announced the winners Sept. 7, “the awards honor those who have made sustainability an integral part of their business practice. For-profit and not-for-profit organizations of all sizes submitted nominations to reward team members and gain exposure for the organization, its initiatives, and the exemplary accomplishments of its leaders as they work to reduce their impact on our environment.”

In a social media post, World Energy stated, “We are honored to be named one of the 2021 Sustainability Leadership Award winners from the Business Intelligence Group alongside companies like CVS Health, FedEx, IBM, Kohler Co., Mastercard, and PepsiCo. It’s great to celebrate companies who are using and advancing environmentally-friendly practices and leading the way toward a more sustainable future.”

Founded in 1998, World Energy is one of North America’s largest biobased diesel producers with manufacturing plants in Houston, Mississippi, Georgia, Pennsylvania, California and Ontario, Canada.
