National Biodiesel Foundation changes name to Clean Fuels Alliance Foundation

Updated: Mar 30, 2022

The National Biodiesel Foundation announced March 29 its new name, Clean Fuels Alliance Foundation. The transformation to Clean Fuels Alliance Foundation follows the industry rebranding as a proven, innovative part of America’s clean energy mix.

“We are excited to announce that new name as we continue to educate and support research activities for biodiesel, renewable diesel, and sustainable aviation fuels in the years to come,” said Tom Verry, executive director of the foundation.

Mark Caspers, the foundation chair, added, “This new name better serves the foundation’s goals and clean-burning fuels. Our education and research activities include all the feedstocks for America’s domestically produced biodiesel, renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuels. The foundation started in 1994, and it is time to change the name to reflect our plans moving forward.”

Clean Fuels Alliance Foundation is a nonprofit 501(C) 3 organization. The foundation works closely with Clean Fuel Alliance America, the U.S. trade association representing the entire biodiesel, renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel supply chain, including producers, feedstock suppliers and fuel distributors. Made from an increasingly diverse mix of resources such as recycled cooking oil, soybean oil and animal fats, the clean fuels industry is a proven, integral part of America’s clean energy future.
