Alfa Laval secures $50 million order from US refinery converting to renewable diesel

Alfa Laval has been awarded a $50 million order to supply pretreatment and wastewater handling systems to an unnamed petroleum refinery in the United States that is undergoing conversion to manufacture renewable diesel. According to Alfa Laval, the order is among the largest to date for the Swedish company.

“Alfa Laval is committed to supporting efforts to decarbonize made by the industries and the societies in which we operate,” said Tom Erixon, president and CEO of Alfa Laval Group. “For us, this means improving traditional production processes and innovating new ones to support the transition to a more sustainable and renewable future, not the least in the energy sector. This order is a confirmation that we can also support large projects to accelerate this transition.”

Delivery of the renewable diesel pretreatment and wastewater handling units is scheduled for 2022.
